Kentucky or Louisville?

If Tennessee beats Michigan (I see it 50/50) would you rather play Kentucky or Louisville for a chance to head to the final four?

It would be sweeter, but they are definitely more familiar with our personnel, and they are the one team who have the bodies inside to neutralize our strength.

That said, they are the less-experienced of the two (UK and UofL), and Louisville knows how to win in the tournament (defending national champs). UofL also has great guard play, though UK's freshmen guards are playing their best basketball of the season right now.

we owe the kittens a beating, more like 50 beatings, but one at a time starting next Sunday........not to get ahead of myself, Friday should be fun

I just hate playing Kentucky.

I hate how they always go on runs. I hate how they always hit clutch 3s. Hate how they always get the calls.

Hate the standing ovations from their fans when one of their players so much as farts on the court. Hate Coach Cal.

They might be a better match up on paper, but I would rather play Louisville.

The only teams as good or better than Louisville in the country are UF and Mich St. Def rather takes my chances against a UK team who barely beat us on their home floor earlier in the year.

Tennessee has struggled with the press so I think Louisville is a disaster matchup for us. Kentucky would be the better matchup IF we can get past Michigan.

I'd prefer KY just to see the battles in the paint. Louisville is more perimeter oriented than KY. KY has the size to match UT down low for some old school basketball. It would be fun to watch as both teams are playing well at the moment.

We have to beat Michigan first. But I would much rather play Kentucky and watch Coach Cal crying as Tennessee makes it to there first final four!

Lville has a better coach and a better team - I think our guards would really struggle against that pressure

def take my chances against KY - they are undisciplined and much more likely imo to not bring their A game

U of L for the simple fact that I can't even imagine the trash talk I'd have to hear from all the Kitten fans up here if we lost. But on the flip side if we won I'd get to talk A LOT of smack :)

I hate how you see an 8 seed Kentucky team as some unbeatable giant.

This. I really think we would struggle with that press. Could be a blowout.

Historically, we suck against Kentucky.

Combine that with an Elite Eight game, with a Final Four on the line, against a highly talented UK squad that is peaking at the same time as us, in front of a very loud Big Blue Nation crowd?

No thanks.

You guys are probably right in that they are a better matchup for us, but I don't like either opponent. If UK didn't have the fan/ref support, I'd feel a lot better about matching up with them.
