Phil's final game at Tenn. will be on ESPN. That 22-year streak could end, finishing off this terrible season. Hopefully not.

Sorry, before I get a "source?", I'm a journalism student and got this e-mail:

UTK Students,
Your information was forwarded to me by Sarah who you contacted about working with ESPN a few weeks ago....

ESPN will be covering the Kentucky @ Tennessee college football game on Saturday, November 29, 2008. We are again looking for students who would be interested in working with ESPN both Friday (11/28) and Saturday (11/29). Please contact me as soon as possible if you are interested and available.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Probably a night game. When was the last time we played a true night game against Kentucky? I can't recall one from the past couple of years.

Oh god those vultures at ESPN are thinking along the lines of that special college football moment when Kentucky finally beats UT and sends Fulmer on his way with a loss in his final game....I really hope We get that game as it is suppost to be a special goodbye to one of UT's great legends...A loss to UK would be sickening on his last day as coach...I hope the team responds and sends him out a winner.

I'm assuming the original poster knows what he's reporting. He seems like a pretty reliable person to confirm this through if he's in UT's media department.

3 weeks ago I got an e-mail about helping out for the Alabama game and I said I would, but by the time I responded they didn't need help anymore. I'm assuming she gave my e-mail to this guy and he sent me that e-mail. He's actually from Kwokman productions...they're the ones who deal with the camera over the field.

Oh great! Now what few people that don't know how far we have fallen can witness it live as the Cats finally beat us.

I don't want the streak to end, but honestly, we have so many more problems than preserving the streak. I know it's all we've got left to play for, but I doubt I'll get too worked up. 23 of 24 ain't bad, I guess.

Having to deal with this years losing crud all off season will not be easy, but lump on the loss to KY and I can not handle that. I don't want that streak to end. Not now, not this year. It's like pouring salt into a wound then scrubbing it with a Brillo pad...

And they want to be there when the 23 year streak is broke, so they can show it over and over again, until we all pass out due to puking

yeah that goes right along with their NFL/NBA draft policy: "if you have a highlight of this player against UT, doesn't matter how the game went: show it!"

the lump's going to be the numerous UK fans who come out of the woodwork to brag for the next few years about how they remember where they were when UK ended the streak
