It happens everywhere.

Football is a rough sport and injuries happen to all teams all the time.

Now is the right time to get things fixed that a player may have played through during the season.

As long as our roster is healthy and ready to go in the late Summer and early Fall then we'll be OK.

VFL...GBO!!!

No one can deny that there are way more injuries for us than the average team. 1 year may equal crap luck, but this is 2-3 years now.

Strength and conditioning absolutely play a role, especially when you see a trend like this over multiple seasons.

Think about how many injuries to key guys Alabama this year and in previous years. I can only think of two (Eddie Jackson and Bo Scarborough) from this year, and Bo got hurt in the 3rd quarter of the last game of the season.

Look at all of the great players they've had there over the years. Have any of them missed significant time during the season due to injury? No long-term injuries come to mind.

Shaun Dion Hamilton, Cameron Robinson, Korren Kirven, BJ Emmons, Alphonse Taylor, Bo Scarbrough, Eddie Jackson, are some of the Bama players that were injured at some point or another this season. Injuries happen everywhere. UT just had bad luck in having more significant injuries and injuries to positions where we did not have a lot of depth (IE LB and DT).

It is also a result of bad strength and conditioning, it will be interesting if Rock has a different outcome next year.

I think it is just you this time. Once the season ends, you have a few guys that played with nagging aches, and once the season ends, they have surgery to correct it. It is pretty common.

But if you are a fan of people like John Adams, Clay Travis, or Colin Cowherd, your over reacting to minor stuff is understandable. It takes time to learn how to shut out useless noise.

Had nothing to do with strength and conditioning it happened in the O&W game when Thomas and McKenzie came crashing into his left ankle as he was blocking Lewis. 600+lbs is to much for an ankle. He then added to the issue when Hall was driven into his leg in the Bama game that created a tendon injury on top of the ligament damage. Lucky to make it through the year.

Yea, they lost multiple players in the defensive backfield including the kid who transferred to Ga with Kirby. Even with all their great recruiting classes losing two guys to injury and the one transfer hurt them. Kind of like losing 4 of your 5 top DTs or 3 of your top 5 LBs....

I doubt we will ever know for sure which of the injuries suffered this season could be attributed to the S&C program, and which were just crappy luck. But having the unusually high number of important players missing time AND not enough S&C coaches on staff is really embarrassing.

Not to me. I never want to see another UT player with am achillies injury. We had more than a couple of those under Dooley.
