Kelly has made the comment they have been able to impose their will on teams... And also downplaying our tempo and how it "limits" what you can do playing tempo... He is challenging us physically and also our philosophy.... Don't see how that's not bulletin board material to players and coaching staff... #faafo

The work the Vols put in this summer will show up Saturday. He is trying to convince his own team their chances are better than what they k be in to be true. They have 4 games of film to study and they know that Florida had the best plan so far. Gamble early and often.

Were they able to impose their will against Florida State?

It's just the philosophy he's always had as a coach of playing a physical style, he's going to be saying that before every game. The question is, does he have the horses to do it to us? Tune in Saturday to find out.

We routinely have receivers running wide open because of “defensive breakdowns”. If it happens every single game then at some point it’s not only the tempo, but rather the play calling also.

Don't forget Banks. He is good for a few blown assignments each game

After watching their comeback win over Auburn I am not convinced they can withstand CJH's playcalling for even one half..They were flat out LUCKY to escape with the win vs Auburn and IMO, Auburn beat themselves more than LSU did..I know LSU and their fanbase have been trashin' UT and thinkin' the Vols are a sure win..But IMHO if UT plays the same way they have been, Vol Nation will be the ones celebrating on the Bayou.....

Did you listen to the actual press conference? It doesn't sound anything like what I thought he was acting because I never listened to him really talk and think he's just a massive jerk all the time. I really liked listening to him. He was also really giving Tenn's offense props before that. You should go listen

Agree, he has repeatedly called Tennessee a fantastic football team and has paid Heupel a ton of compliments.

The whole concept of bulletin board material is so stupid to me. The logic dictates that you were not going to give your absolute 100% best effort until someone on the other side made you mad enough to. If we need that to win, we’ve already lost.

Why bather with context when we can just get offended and pop off?

😂

Good point.

Some of our fans have just developed a super strong victim mentality over the years. To them, we are always wronged, always aggrieved, whether it's true or not.

LSU has played tougher the 2nd half, not sure if that is conditioning or the way the games played out.
Our DB’s IMO would be better playing man but if you play zone you can keep an eye on a running QB. Coaching decisions based on running QB. Is Daniels healthy if not &/or we see Nussmeirer I’d play man think our DL/we hit him like we did the Pitt QBs.GBO

He's setting a tone and establishing a mindset. It's what coaches do when they take over.

I don't get the bulletin board material talk at all. Our players fully understand that the other team wants to beat us and has a game plan to do so.

Coaches are going to coach speak. The betting line (Vegas odds) has nothing to do with what an analysist (talking head) thinks.

Bulletin board material is for fans that like to rub the comments in opposing fans faces after the outcome is determined.

This Kelly statement sorta backs up what I said in a thread a day or so ago. Like Kelly's ND teams (and others before him) ND plays a ho um game most of the time and wears you down and wins late (many times on last drive), That's where I see this LSU team trying to become. A big rough pound you to death team with some ability to sting you with a big play now and then. LET'S NOT LET IT START GAINING MOMINTUM THIS SATURDAY!!! GO BIG ORANGE!!!

He was also very informative and gave actual answers. I get tired of the coach speak, and that includes Heupel. I have stopped listening to him answeing press questions. Just not as interesting. Also, our guys usually don't ask good questions but he was getting hard questions and did a good job answering.
I'm sure he has his moments (like the press being late), but he's no more of a jerk than Saban is. THATS your drama queen.
