Baugh played very well aginst GA. She may be the best of the two.

Kelly Cain has been playing sloppy all year and even the announcers called her out during the Florida game that she isn't hustling anymore or fighting for position. It was like she had lost her fire. At to that fact she is a terrible free throw shooter, but at 6'6" she shoot be dominating the middle. Hopefully Pat benched her to get her to open her eyes. She has been watching the men play too much.

I've said this all year. She should be absolutely dominating. I hear she has some chronic lower back pain. I say give the girl some vicodin and turn her loose...lol :) (J/K for you PC police...)

Why isn't kelly cain playing? Is she injured? Baugh looks really good!

She isn't too good is why. Brewer is 5 times more productive, and gets down the court faster. I hate to be critical of a player, and I apologize if it offends anyone, but IMO it is the truth.

She is supremely talented, and agile for a Lady of her size. She might be the final link to a NCC this year IMO.

Her passing ability has really opened my eyes. She has a tremendous skill set!

Hate to say it, but Cain is not good at all. She has not progressed very much since her freshman year. If Baugh hadn't been hurt pretty much her entire career, Cain wouldn't see the court as much as she does. I admit, Cain has been injured but when she's in the game we are not as dominant as we can be. Baugh is more athletic than Cain, and if we want to do any damage in March Madness, Baugh has to stay healthy.

I thought Baugh was the best player in the freshman class 3 years ago when they won the NC game but injuries have kept her from being a dominate player. I hope she comes back next year for her fifth year. She could be an all-American next year and UT will be loaded with talent.

With her injuries and reoccurring back problems, I wonder if Kelly will be back next year. Maybe like Cait McMahan, she will have to walk away from the game. I do agree that Baugh brings a lot more athletic ability and energy to the post position.

I thought Cain was a senior, or maybe I was just wishful thinking. I would rather seem Smallbone on the floor.

Sorry guys but, Kelly Cain is a big part of why the Lady Vols are where they are this season. Yes Vicki B. and A.Brewer are good but, where they until 2 weeks ago? My thinking is she is probably out of gas. Ya think? I don't see how any one could say anything bad about K. Cain this season or any of the Lady Vols for that matter.

The Lady Vols Rock! Every last one of them!:clapping::rock:

excited she gets to show off now...hope she gets her groove back all the way through the tourney

someone said earlier that Baugh will be awesome next year also....isn't she a senior?...and this is her last year?

She used a redshirt and that gives her another year to play if she wants to.

Cain doesn't have the mean streak she needs to dominate but you lose credibility with the Smallbone statement. There is not a coach in the country that would pick Smallbone over Cain.

All I have to say is that by the time this year's tournament run is over I think we will all be happy K. Cain is a Lady Vol and on the floor playing for Tennessee. All of these young ladies give their all for Tennessee every time they get on the court. I really think player skills and abilities assesment should be left for CPS and staff. As far as the original question for which this thread was started. I think they mentioned on the ESPN broadcast that she is having some back pain.

Hahaha, that was meant as TIC. I was
just trying to show how disappointed I am
In Cains career. Lol I did not mean that to be taken the way you took it. My apologies.
