He had a good season. I'm not taking that away from him, but that game in particular should not be used as the indicator of how good or bad he was.

fine then let his season stats speak for themselves and try to say he wasn't a very good player for UT

I Think he was a joke! more trouble then he was worth.
The things that stand out about him is he always was hurt and he tricked Stallworth in to going Pro so he could pad his stats. If Stallworths stayed Washington would have never had the stats! Still Say he was a joke! Future?:eek:lol:

don't be cynical. He just went to the place that gives him the best chance to win it all.
Be that as it may, I had read where the Skins had offered him the league minimum for vets and if the Ravens offered him no more, he would likely end up in DC.

I know none of the details of his contract with the Ravens. I certainly hope he got more than the minimum there.

I was sincere when I wished him well. I never got on board of the KW hate train.

That was the way I read it at the time. They both were going pro Stallworth entered the draft and then Washington changed his mind and Stallworth tried to come back NCAA said no.

Ravens season ticket holder here.

Washington should certainly get the chance to play.

WR is definately a spot where we need help.

That's the way I always heard it, though I heard it long afterwards...

Funny thing is, even with the current situations, Stallworth still ended up having a much better pro career than washington and Kelly showed everyone in college that he's not much w/o a good receiving threat on the other side of the field

(I do have to wonder, during the patriots absorbtion of almost all the WR Free agents on the market a few years ago, if there was any bad blood between Washington and Stallworth when they were both on the same team...)

I disagree based on recent activities.

I disagree based on recent activities.

Well I meant a stats and starting all and all and not including the recent car and pedestrian incident. I realized that prison term / suspension / vehicular homicide added would make Stallworth's overall career much worse than Washington's.

But everything up to before that, stallworth had a better pro career than "special-teams kelly"

ProFootballTalk.com - Report: Ravens To Sign Kelley Washington

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with veteran free agent wide receiver Kelley Washington, according to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com.

Per the report, which cited a source, Washington will sign a contract Friday upon successful completion of a physical.

We’ve separately confirmed with Washington’s agent, Chad Speck, that Washington has verbally agreed to terms with the Ravens following an impressive tryout at last weekend’s minicamp.

Washington is expected to sign a one-year contract.

“He’s going to sign with Baltimore,” Speck said. “Kelley decided a few minutes ago. He views it as a great opportunity and a great organization. He’s excited to get started.”

Washington is a former Cincinnati Bengals third-round draft pick who caught one pass last season for the New England Patriots, blocking a punt.

In six NFL seasons, Washington has caught 73 career passes for 896 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Ravens also tried out Jerry Porter and Tab Perry at their full-team, mandatory minicamp.

“I’m just grateful for the Ravens to give me an opportunity to come and try out,” Washington said Sunday. “Just being a veteran, I want to get into a great situation. I want to play for a contending team.

“It’s just going to be a situation where I sit down with my agent and see what’s the best situation for me and how I can get on the field and play some wide receiver, continue to help out on special teams and help them win. I’m big and I like to get in the middle and get dirty and just be a big, physical target. I think I can bring that to the team, but that’s up to management to determine.”

No way he is a veteran!

Yeah, the fact that his yards per game went up after Stallworth left really shows he couldn't hack it without Donte. I love how people have convinced themselves that Kelley Washington wasn't any good just because they didn't like him.
