So far Casey has been the surprise of the Chiefs camp. If he does well in pre-season he very well could be #3.

"An interesting development could be the emergence of fourth string quarterback Casey Clausen. He has been very impressive in training camp. The former Tennessee Vol has a legitimate shot at making the Chiefs final roster if he performs well in the exibition season."

If our offense doesn't improve real quick, the Casey bashers are gonna be wishing we had him back for another year. I am very discouraged by what I am hearing about our offense (or the lack thereof). :(

Don't worry just yet. You have to remember that yesterday's scrimmage was mostly the freshman QB's playing in their first scrimmage.

People have never really had a problem with his performance, it is his lack of fire. Casey has always been a laid back kind of guy, which is good for a QB. But we have gone through (and may still be) a period where we have had a true lack of leadership by our players. The offensive coaches do not have that attutude you want (except Taylor), so we never saw the team get fired up. My point is that the knock on Casey has always been unjustified. And yes many people will say that we will be sorry that he is not in the lineup anymore, but that happens when a Senior QB leaves.

This year we have people willing to step up and be leaders, like Burnett and possibly CJ. We also have coaches who can put a spark into the offense. (I say put Sanders in the booth and leave Trooper on the field). Time will tell.

Sanders needs to go to the booth.

There has been talk that Sanders WILL go back to the booth. I say send him on. It's not like he's set any fields on fire on the sidelines. I wish he would respectfully bow out anyway.
