I think everyone is missing the point. Kansas actually has a message board?

Lol! Thanks for a little humor on an otherwise horrible day for the program itself. That said, l glad that we as fans stood up and decided we are not going to take a coach with the baggage he had... and a 50-50 coach at that. Heck, no!!

No room for us to make fun of any program after this train wreck. Best case scenario, Currie made a stupid hiring decision after lying to the fans that he had it under control, went to the Bahamas on the University dime, never really had a plan, and put us ina position where we had to run off a coach (rightfully) based on hearsay. Running him off is the right decision, we shouldn't for a second risk that after our history with Title 9 issues. Even still this ain't a day to mock the K State message board.

I like Kansas State's football and basketball programs. Their football program doesn't get 5 and 4 star recruits, but they are well coached, play hard, and are in every game they play. If I'm not mistaken, when Frank Martin was K State's basketball coach the K State's men's basketball team adopted one of the US Army's active duty Artillery units and even wore Cross Cannon logos on their basketball jersey's. As another poster put it, Currie's biggest responsibility is UT's football program and I simply cannot fathom how he or anyone else for that matter thought that a Tennessee program that has been relatively disappointed for a decade would think that hiring Greg Schiano as Head Coach would be a good idea from any standpoint. I've read comments on other sites saying UT isn't a good job and hasn't been since firing Fulmer, the fans are blind to this fact etc. Looking at our facilities, what should be a large stream of funds at a Head Coaches disposal, a winnable SEC East on a yearly basis, a low cost of living, pretty good recruiting opportunities in and out of state, and a solid stream of former NFL players...I just can't see how the UT Head Coaching job would be considered such a low tier horrible position. Maybe our Athletic Department is a nightmare and we as fans are not privy to how dysfunctional it truly is or is perceived. Maybe the Schiano debacle is the light that administrator's and fans both needed to see in order to productively and positively move forward.

Can you guys at least get it straight between Kansas and Kansas State if you're going to try to mock someone?
