I suspect he was concerned that another penalty sends it back 5 more yards.
I thought he would have kicked it on the play we jumped offside.

And that is coaching scared. It could happen but you it also sends a message that you don’t trust your guys to be able to execute it again properly

I don’t get the knock on CJH being too conservative. But for an offside, we are set for a 37 yard field goal as time expires. Exactly what we want after GA tied it up


if he weren’t so “ conservative” ( as many call it), and we had a TO, I think he’s far more likely to be appropriately second guessed.

I think he did well enough on that last drive. It wasn’t the one after the turnover that I don’t get. That was our chance to effectively end the game and we looked like we played for a FG.

Yep, I still love The Heup but he got too conservative against a really good team, and it came back to bite him. Hope he learns something from this.
