We have Kendrick vs Richmond. Let's do Hurd vs Kamara.

Opposing coaches I've talked with have a ton of respect for Vols' Hurd and Kamara, but say Kamara is the one who really scares them.

Kamara will have no problem getting to 1000 yards if they up his carries. Hopefully Dobbs will be running less and Kamara more. He can take it the distance anytime and that can be a game changer.

Stats from last year:

Jalen Hurd 4.7 yards per carry on 277 carries.
Alvin Kamara 6.5 yards per carry on 107 carries.

I think both go down as great Vols. Honestly, the strengths of both balance each other nicely in the backfield.

I think coaches are more terrified of Kamara because you can line him up all over the place and put him in motion, and you HAVE to pay attention to him. Hurd will rough you up, but Kamara MUST be spotlighted every play.

Hurd is scary coming down hill at you.
Kamara is scary in space.

I feel like some have posted already that for the offense to take the next step they should split the carries and really grind on teams like in years past.

This is it. However, if Hurd becomes that home run threat this year, they will fear Hurd more

I love watching Hurd run. When he runs with passion he's difficult to bring down. Kamara is probably the scarier of the two in the sense that he has more big play ability (in my opinion).

Their just 2 different animals all together but both can hurt a defense and both should scare coaches.

1-possession back: big powerful. Will run over you but agile enough to run around you also.
2-home run threat: Quick burst very agile and elusive. Can take it to the house from anywhere on the field and runs with good power for his size.
3-qb: Best mixture of both. Big quick gets the tough yards between the tackles and can house one at anytime.

That's a freaking dangerous backfield Vol fans! Any coach not concearned with all 3 will be looking for a new job after this year.

It seems like reading this, and the anonymous coaches statements, that we are very disrespected by the other coaches. They aren't going to know what hit them this year when Tn beats every team but Bama (and maybe even them) by 2 possessions this year

What's gona be crazy is if PWilly Malone or one of the freshmen break out and we birth a legit downfield threat to go along with that 3 headed monster.

I fully expect a BIG step foward in the passing game with a veteran Dobbs and him actually having SEC level weapons. He may not have had the best arm but he really didn't have much help last year and I think losing Pig was a pretty big deal. I honestly think especially with the attn our backfield will get that this offense is gona come alive in the air as well this year.

Should be hard for defenses to stop. We will see what coaches have to say at the end of the year.

The three headed monster of Dobbs with Hurd to his left and Kamara to his right is a nightmare for all defensive coordinators. I love it when I see all 3 on the field together.

I'd bet money that even saban is already trying to figure out what to do about it, and yes I'm serious! Woooooo

Kamara can run between the tackles and isn't easy to bring down on first contact. We are blessed with two beasts at RB.. They both can run and catch very well. They do it all..

I love the debates between two of our favorites posters going at it between Hurd and another RB for another team.. I personally would not trade Hurd and Kamara for anyone in the league.. They can do it all and do it very well, plus both have that "it" factor about them...

We've heard the coaches opinions, I wonder who the defensive players are more scared of? Maybe we should ask that Ga DB that Hurd trucked who he fears more lol

Probably my favorite play from last year. I live in Georgia, and have played that repeatedly for everyone around me.
