Justin Martin is the weak link in the secondary

Buchanan has amazed me to this point and he may end up being the next Sutton. A 3 star freshman that is playing like a junior

As an Atlanta Falcons fan I am completely on board with us having Big Play Ray's kid manning the secondary for 3 or 4 years.

Martin probably didn't have his head in game after kickoff. He got the 15yd penalty on kickoff and butch ripped him. Then gets burned the next play. They may be great athletes but these are still kids. Anyway how quickly we forget....second half of last season Martin replaced Moseley and solidified our DB problem. Don't judge him on two plays.

There has to be another answer in the secondary than Justin Martin. The kid is always behind the receiver and refuses to turn his head to make a play on the ball. If he does make a play he gets flagged for not turning his head to the ball. Shoop needs to make a change,,,

WOW look it's over reaction Monday...

Way too many posters have jumped on the "turn your head" bandwagon. Yes, he got beat and has a few times. But when a DB is beat, turning your head is useless and even counterproductive. We are getting gradually better at footwork and hand fighting, which is really where our young DB's are struggling.

Hell yeah he has underperformed. This kid was a 4 star juco recruit. Had very high hopes for him. Thought maybe the next Gibril Wilson. He has the size and talent, just hasn't come together for some reason.

They took him out, and played Moseley and Buchanan in the second half. Or were you not playing attention?

Let's keep it real. Martin was the weak link.....this past week. He got flagged on the opening kickoff, and since he replaced Sutton, Florida went after him early and often. He had a bad week, and I am not crucifying him for it. We may need him in Georgia, and I am sure he heard enough about it in the film room today. He don't need you or me giving him Hell, he is doing enough of that on his own, Einstein.

Jumper made a few plays but he is without a doubt the weakest link.

You watched the game and make that lame ass statement? If you had said this last week, you might have a point. Now, you need to wear the dunce hat, and sit in the corner.

There is not a living linebacker in program history that is not proud of Jumper this week. Personally, I am wondering what got into him, but at this point, Kirkland might take his sweet time getting well. If Jumper stays healthy and plays that well, why rush it?

I'm proud of him too. He will continue to be targeted as long as he is playing. I hope he is up to the task.
