I'm not sure what's going to happen in the future...but I have seen with SBV said that the coach that's being contacted right now is not currently coaching anywhere.

That being said....

Could it be/would you want it to be Jim Tressel?

Tressel-NO Tressel has the same thing Bruce Pearl has with the NCAA. Can not coach for so many years. (I forgot how many)

Just looked it up, he has a five-year show-cause penalty. He's not even a part of the conversation with that. I didn't know it was that long.

No way its Tressel. If we were willing to have a coach with a show cause around we would have kept our basketball coach.

My bad. Didn't know about the show clause. I wasn't pulling for him, I'm just looking over coaches that are inactive right now that are worth a flip, and he was one of the few (other than Butch Davis and Gruden).

I don't think it's Davis. I think Gruden is a legit possibility if it comes to a new coach. I have learned to just not buy into anything anymore. Dooley came out of left field....of course, that was part of the problem.

I know I'm in the minority here but I could live with that. He's not on the top of my wish list but I wouldn't complain either.

I could as well, win and the affair won't be an issue. Look at guys like Jeff Fisher; its very prominent in coaching. No one can deny that Petrino is an excellent coach.

The other key variable that SBV posted is not only is the contact that has been concated thus far and is said to be interested "not coaching" but also has Jimmy Sexton as his agent. Thus I instantly thought Fulmer. The not coaching was interesting wording though as compared to unemployed. When we think of Gruden we bring up him leaving his cushy ESPN job.

So what you're saying is if Kiffin wants the HC job he can have it? Come on people coaches like Petrino are not excellent, because they care only for a paycheck and not the institution they represent.

It has become apparent that our fan-base cares only for wins...even if the HC is riding Bama's and Florida's

Count me in. He would be maybe my 4th choice, but I could go into 2013 feeling like we have a chance to win some games.

Saban, Miles, Muschamp, Meyer, Spurrier, Gruden...name almost any coach including dools. These men are not saints and they don't need to be to be great coaches. My faith is not in my college teams HC.
