I’ve been a True VOL FAN all my life...... and YES I hate losing . However, I am even more sick of hearing fire the coach after each game!!!!!
When Pruitt first came to UT he said “it will take 3 to 4 recruiting class to get Tennessee football back again.”
He gutted from the ground up and just completed his coaching staff this Spring. Yes, we have and will see a lot of growing pains, but it takes time. I believe we have the right staff in place now, we just need the TRUE FANBASE to stand behind them........
I ask people “do you give up on your kids so easy?” Well these young men are each someone’s kid who chose to leave home and come to the University Tennessee because of the past football tradition!They each want to make a difference and put Tennessee football back in the rankings. And we as the FANS need to stand behind them like we would our own kids!!!!!!!!

Can you show me something positive about all of this ((Tennessee football)?

This team has no discipline
This team is not motivated
This team doesn’t “want it”
Heck sometimes this team doesn’t even line up correctly

How long doe it take to do those things?
How long before Tennessee “should” beat teams like Georgia State?

You're absolutely correct, and to that end they're succeeding...according to CBS Sports they've cracked the Top 100! Glory days are here again!

If you don't want to see it, I suggest you simply avoid VN. People aren't going to stop because you don't like it. And that's not me being an ass, it's simply the nature of message boards. We're a losing team and our program is in shambles. People are going to bitch. Some senselessly, and some with accurate criticisms, but it's not going to stop because you don't want to see it.

So you believed him when he said it would take 3 to 4 classes to get Tenn back? He knew that but he did not know how to beat GS? He is no HC and here people was worried about him leaving Tn for Bama. Oh and by the way , you dont get to tell other fans how they should feel and think. Fans have been spending money for the last 15 years when all this losing started on Tn and have nothing but losing seasons to show for it.

I’m someone’s kid too but if I sucked at my job, I would get fired; or in this case, benched. They chose to leave home........hell, I hope so. Maybe your kids should stay safely in your basement where they're never criticized or ever held accountable. If they want me to support them, they can quit getting embarrassed every Saturday.

What do you mean they will all be back. Looks like we are already here and will continue to be here as true fans.

I also stuck through the Wade Houston, Kevin O Neill and Buzz Peterson years in basketball. Never once abandoned the team but knew those 3 were not good head coaches for the University of Tennessee. Pruitt is in the same league as those guys and Derek Dooley.

Kevin O'Neill is the one who inherited Wade Huston's mess and can be argued that he set up the success of the early 2000's.
And I'm referring to the amateur AD's on this forum

You can tell a good coach by the way the team improves game after game, year after year. Even good coaches have sideways years, they don't however have regression years. I haven't seen improvement since Pruitt has gotten here. This is year 2, most great coaches make huge strides in year 2 and year 3 or 4 are either the sideways years, or if they are really good coaches, they become a top team in their conference. UT has not only not improved, they got worse. You have to give good coaches time, you don't keep coaches that make your team worse than it was the previous year when you're rebuilding. Rebuilding shows improvement not regression.
