Caught my eye, perhaps some of you might also.

"‘If it bleeds it leads' has always been one theory. That only works up to a point," Dan Gainor told Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto June 2. "When you are actually spinning the results so much so that they're more negative than the worst economic time period in American history, well then you really have to sit back and think, ‘Maybe we're just doing this wrong.'"

The press slanted toward negativity, get outta here. I wonder what some of the negativity ratios were when Clinton was on the way out and the economy was going through some slow times?

I can see the types of headlines if Obama were to be president:

"Dow up 1 point yesterday, Americans feeling prosperity unlike anytime before".

It's interesting, but not particularly newsworthy. The election year has brought the Chicken Little out of all the networks, but they really didn't have to move far to get there.

Oh I'll concede that it happens isn't so surprising, I guess the degree of it was more than I had thought. The other thing it made me think of is how back in 2000 the Dems were accusing the GOP of "talking down the economy" to try to make sure everyone kept a positive memory of the "great Clinton days" yet have beat on the economy daily since Bush took office.

Anyway, I guess I just hadn't noticed it pointed out to the extent this tidbit did.
