They didn't go into details and i understand the run for over 60 yards in the first half, but all i was trying to say is that its nice to have the publicity.

Did they mention over half of those yards came on one run, and that we lost by 20 TD's?

Because he is. And most of it came on one run.

Nope. Repeating ignorance without check it out does not make you smart.

He had one run of 59 yards and then 58 yards on his 13 other carries for an avg of 4.46 ypc besides the long run.

FTR, do we not count long runs now? If that's a reason to dismiss the performance... why haven't others gotten long runs against them?

Poole has not looked good this year. He does not have elite natural talent. However he deserves his due for the exceptional things he's done. One of those things is three 100 yd games vs top 25 teams in the same season. Another is six 100 yd games in a single season... and another is being the only RB since Oct '07 to go over 100 yds vs Bama's D.

Amazed at how many people live in the past on this site. What has he done lately? Nothing! Poole is average at best. Very inconsistent, poor vision, leaves yards on the field and does not finish runs.

Nope. He has not been good this year nor has the OL nor has anyone else associated with the run game.

Still waiting for you to explain how an "avg at best" RB goes over 1000 yds vs the SEC with last year's OL. Still waiting for you to name the last UT RB who had six 100 yd games in a single season or three vs top 25 opponents in a career much less a single season.

I have NEVER said he had great talent. He doesn't. He has limited upside. But his performance last year precludes the label "average at best" to anyone whose subjective bias has not blinded them.

I agree that he is average, but he is a senior on this team who has been through a lot in the past three years. believe it or not he is a leader in the locker room. Anyone that has gone through adversity like he has deserves a chance... we have only played three games. I really believe that the coaches have schemed incorrectly, they were going to rely on passing this year. During that bye week they introduced running again to this team. Look out in the next couple of weeks for a change...

And that has nothing to do with the fact that he ran for over 100 yds against Bama last year. No one is trying to argue that he is a great runner because of it. It's just a fact, get over it.
