Wow, forgot how good we looked in that game. I love laying the wood to the BIG TEN or is it 11 or 9. I lost track with the realignments.

Hurd is gonna do some damage this year.

Is it football time in Tennessee yet?:dance2:

I agree we looked really really good in this game.

I've watched it a couple times this summer. Team looked good...and best of all...Team still looked young. Here's hoping to what 9 months of organic growth will do...

What I want to point out is how well the DL and OL played against a very decent team that pride themselves on power at the line.

Go Vols................47 days!

Side Judge starts to call time/out of bounds...stops...then starts to go for his beanbag...then does the proverbial 'I don't know what the hell just happened!" look in the GIF...

I say it every time its mentioned, but I can't help it, in all my years watching football that'sthe craziest thing iI've ever seen.

I still have no idea what he was thinking...

Still think we should have gained possession on that play, but I'm sure the refs were all like 'WTF just happened?'...

I think it was finally ruled an illegal forward pass. That's what "saved" them. Kinda glad they got it too. That game was already getting severely ugly at that point.

One thing not talked about here is that this was a great kickoff. Buried in play, in the corner, yet in bounds. Cordarelle Patterson would have had nothing on that.

I went back and watched the Utah St. game and then watched the Tax Slayer Bowl game. The difference in the way Hurd ran in those two games was night and day. He was so tentative in the Utah St. game and just ran through people in the bowl game. can't wait to see what this year holds for this team.

I am like Jayson Swain. We did play exceptionally well in the game but I am not sure Iowa wanted to be there. Also, as I said before, Vanderbilt and Kentucky probably would have beaten Iowa due to team speed. Iowa would have finished last in the SEC East this last year.

It was also evident their fans did not want to be there either as the Gator Bowl was completely orange from where I was sitting.

Great comparison to Marcus Allen, however Hurd is a more physical runner. I would not want to be a safety and see Jalen coming with a full gait 20 years down field.

Could be a breakout year for the young man with the funny Hairdoo :eek:lol:

And why wasn't it our ball again???

Illegal forward pass even though it wasn't a play from scrimmage and the closest receiver in the area was the turf who caught it. :loco:
