some weekend observations:
1. Tennessee is a 5 or 6 loss football team. Our descent into Texas Tech territory is now complete. The only thing we do well is throw horizontal passes.
2. Lloyd Carr is a disgrace.
3. DeMarco Murray is going to be pretty good for OU.
4. That said, Miami's defense will give the Sooners all they want Saturday afternoon.
5. Texas has some serious offensive issues.
6. Florida Atlantic can win the Sun Belt.
7. Minnesota is godawful.
8. So is Iowa State.
9. Sylvester Croom will get another SEC coach fired this season. Himself.
10. USC has enough great players to split up and field two Top 25 caliber teams.

-6 yards passing in the 4th quarter and punting/giving up when there is time on the clock...

We will not lose that many games.

Mississippi State is terrible... any school that loses to them this season should disband their football team immediately.

If Tennessee doesn't lose 5 or 6 games, all the talk about the SEC being the best conference in America is garbage. If that team play above .500 in the league, which is what it will take to avoid a 5 loss season, the conference stinks. Bad.

No, you should fire your coach and hire coaches the caliber of Urban Meyer or Nick Saban.

I don't think so.

Our defense was bad. I have now watched it again and they were out of position all nite long and they over pursued big time. That is a result of lack of discipline. UT is better than they played.

Not sure what you're getting at, TVA. I simply made an exaggeration about the quality of a team that could possibly lose to Mississippi State. Go post the total passing yards by Ainge in the 4th quarter again or needlessly continue a debate by completely missing the point of a certain post, that's your wheelhouse.

This team is alot better than a 5 or 6 loss team. We will lose 3 maybe 4. Two plays and we win against Cal.

Bunch of panic button pushers in here. My god.

With all of this talk about Patterson, I'd like to catch the TCU/Texas game this weekend. Fortunately it's on FSN. Unfortunately, it starts the same time as the USM/UT game.

I don't get USM/ UT, so I guess I will have to check out TCU... I think Texas wins easily, simply because I think Arkansas State served as a wakeup call. I will be pulling for the Horned Frogs.

-6 yards passing in the 4th quarter is nothing to brag about. I wasn't even blaming Ainge for that. I'm blaming our inability to be creative enough on offense to get 1 positive passing yard on offense when it matters most (the 4th quarter).
