Just Because Alabama Housed Mizzou

Doesn't mean we're about to.

The 10-point line is meaningless.

On paper, we're better than Mizzou, but not nearly at Alabama's level (yet).

Gotta treat this game like a 2nd bite at Ga. State.
Exactly right, we are not in the same ballpark as Alabama. Get too cocky and take home a loss.

If we tighten up some stuff on D, we don't turn the ball over, and JG corrects his airmails (maybe easier said than done), we should get the W.

I'm confused. Where did anyone say that UT should beat up on MU because Bama did?

I actually think UT should beat up on Mizzou because they're more talented. What Bama did doesn't really effect that...

This. If Tennessee doesnt destroy a bad Mizzou team with a 1st year head coach at Neyland then there are serious serious issues. They had better not play down to the competition.

For the confidence of this team, we really need to blow them out. If we blow them out, I like our chances against GA.
I can agree with that sentiment. UGA looked really bad for a half. Bennett played within himself but the opponent wasn't a good D. Their OL and run game just weren't good though White is very talented.

Arkansas is pretty awful... and then they threw Franks out there as the cherry on top.

UGA gets Auburn then UT. There's a good chance Auburn is more of an emotional focus than UT. Either way that game goes, it should help UT to catch UGA right after.

Based on what I've seen from Bama posters they said Mizzou's defense was better than they thought it was and their front 7 is good. They said they didn't get many big plays on Mizzou's defense and had several sustained drives. And yeah...when they got up 35-3 in the 3rd they started subbing a lot.

No doubt the bubbas put it on glide mode in the 2nd half to give their bench some experience but we have absolutely no business treating any SEC game as a given, even Vandy this year - LSU found that out the hard way - and especially not with the way we have played in the last decade.

If we shut down Roundtree, then it will make things much more manageable. They scored Through the air twice once Bama had their second stringers in (and one of the TDs came on the very last play of the game). I think we’re the more talented team but in a shortened season, you can’t afford to overlook anybody.

I watched the replay of the first half today. Mizzou didn't seem close to completing a long pass, granted they were playing Bama. I think we dare them to beat us deep and stop the run/short passes.

I agree. I expect the game plan is to neutralize Roundtree first. We didn’t do a great job of setting the edge, so we’ll have to look out for that. By the way, is this Roundtree’s 10th year of eligibility?

I think they just keep adding to his suffix so he gets another year of eligibility.
