Thought I'd update everybody.
1. When I flew into Knoxville, there were no job openings at the station I wanted to work for. Then, on Thursday, one became open, and I interviewed on Friday for 2 hours and Monday for an hour for the job. Because I've had a kazillion meetings in my career, I know these went extremely well. We'll know something come the new year.
2. When you're drinking in the Old City, make sure to stop by the Urban Bar and tip one of my friends Caleb very well. And Nathan, too.
3. The Downtown Brewery, even with students gone, was a prime hottie location. When I move back, I plan on frequenting it.
4. Sawyer's was as delicious and unhealthy as always.
5. The Grotto is horrible.
6. Traffic has gotten worse in Knoxville. It's the same amount, but people are HORRIBLE at driving! It's called a passing lane for a reason.
7. Rocky Hill Deli on Northshore is a good little find.
8. My buddies live on Northshore, behind the mall. Thank God for Lyon's View.
9. Ray's, which used to be Kingston Alley, is a good lunch stop. Ray, the owner, is a very very nice guy.
10. If you're into the indy scene, my friends just recorded their tracks for their band Allegories. I would bet they'll be playing shows in the next month or so.
11. I forgot how amazing Krystal is when drunk. We have neither Krystal nor White Castle here. Nom nom nom.
