First off all let me say I am in full support of Coach Kiffin and his staff. But everyone needs to take note and think about this. Coach K was a great recruiter at USC which is opposite the world of K-Town. It may just be me but it couldn't be that hard to pitch USC to a recruit considering the great weather and the girls with fake boobs! LOL! I just don't want everyone to get their hopes up and think Coach K is a miracle worker and will be able to magically turn things around over night. This is going to be the biggest challenge of his short coaching career and I wish him and everyone the best.

I somewhat agree with your outlook but remember USC wasn't winning at all before Carroll and K got there. Even with the beaches and feaux breasts, winning on a national stage is what recruits want to see. K even said selling the school was tough in the early going until wins started stacking up. Have faith my friend.

Good call. But he is no stranger to recruiting nationally, SC wasnt a hot a team as UT was in the day. We are a power school and put players in the league routinely. This wont be a tough a sell as you might think. No beaches or fake tt's out standing.

Good point. A lot of people seem to forget that when Kiffin first started recruiting at USC there was nothing resembling Reggie Bush, good facilities or recent wins to point to.

Yes, and if u've ever taken a visit to USC campus, you'll note that it has a large fence and security enclosing the entire campus, bc/ i'ts located right next to the hood, Compton I believe......So it could be easier to recruit players to nice K-ville, instead of to Hood-town USA.........

Also, their facilities are a joke, not very nice at all, nowhere near the level of UT......I mean, their tennis courts are purple and gold.......just a tacky campus overall.......

Bristol Vol, Please get a clue dude. You may not want to make predictions until you log atleast 100 posts. Also, do some research before making assumptions.

Kiffin has ties in Florida. His mother and father have lived there for years. Reaves has ties in South Carolina. Kiffin plans to build a fence around TN. If, we can consistently land good prospects from FL, SC, TN, a few other southeastern states, and a couple from other parts of the country as we have normally done. Our recruiting will be fine.

There are plastic surgeons in Knoxville. Maybe not as many as L.A., but I'm sure out of 5 hot girls at UT, one of them has a nice pair of fake boobs. So, your point is moot. Move on, and Go Vols!

Before you log 125 posts missy I suggest you put some clothes on. No one here cares to see a fine behind!
This is a family oriented site that doesnt tollerate that sort of visual.

I think Kiffin is a saleman. Just as Fulmer was. Now Fulmer could recite every big win and every heart breaking loss. This young outsider needs time for that, but he is a proven saleman. His staff will be as important as anything else he does. Just as Fulmer's was. I think we all agree'd on here that the UT slide started with Cut leaving to Ole Miss.
Kiffin is young and energetic vowing not to be out worked. He is certainly wearing out the private jet making inroads to high schools far and wide. That should pay dividends down the road.
The only thing I understand about his coaching is he is opening up all positions for competetion, which I like. Him bringing his prostyle offense, well, it worked at USC, not so much with the Raiders. But i for one am willing to give him some time. It is tough to replace a legend.

Some here are interested in football and UT athletics. Plenty of behinds on the VS website, which is where that pic came from.

Back to the topic. UT shouldn't be a test for any recruiter. There's no point in using that as an excuse. UT has as much to offer as any school, and a lot more to offer than most.

So you're saying UT will be a bigger challenge than working for the Crypt Keeper and the most dysfunctional franchise in professional sports?

Talk is cheap. CLK is going to have his hands full trying to do all he says he is going to do. i.e Putting a fence around Tennessee. I want to see what he does about the QB situation he has now. In my opinion he should have found a way to use Boyd.

OMG. What's wrong with it. Americans are so funny when it comes to even partial nudity, yet they will let their kids sit down and watch mucho violence on the tube. Please do not take your children to any public beach....especially outside the U.S. where topless sun bathing can be the norm. Europeans see nudity on TV from the get go, but have much less sexual violence in their society. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe becuase we make a big deal out of a half-naked body...:naughty: However, you can see all the violence on american TV you want, and we certainly have one of the more violent societies. IMHO..
