Jumper Named Burlsworth Trophy Candidate

This young man never changed his focus to make himself better, never gave up despite anything people said about him, he never quit no matter how far down the roster he was.

He paid attention to what coaches taught him, worked hard in the weight room, studied film like he was taught to study film, gave 100% effort every minute and was patient and classy while waiting his turn to get on the field in a game.

He made mistakes but he learned from the film and corrected what the coaches pointed out to him.

He's gotten better and better through hard work and his never give up attitude.

He's also kept his grades up to make certain he stayed eligible to help our footVol Team when he was needed.

He's earned every single thing he's gotten.

He could have taken a scholly from some other school and been playing from day 1 but his blood runs Tennessee Orange and he wanted to run through the T in a Vols uniform and get to play in Neyland.

He did it folks, he's earned his way to realise his college footVol dreams.

He's worked his butt off and he's also earned my respect, admiration and a big THANKS for coming to play at Tennessee, the Team I love so much.

CONGRATS young man, I hope you WIN this award because you've certainly earned it!

Colton Jumper, a warrior and a true Vol For Life.

Now fire the Team up Colton and WIN the rest of our games this season!

VFL...GBO!!!

They usually save this for seniors, but they give it to SOPHs & JRs in some special cases too (like last yr with the obvious choice, Baker Mayfield). Really great award to be nominated for. Good luck Mr. Jumper!

It's good to see how high Jumper has elevated his game. It's not a huge leap to think he could win this award. Rising into the spotlight will definitely have more eyes on him and, from there, it's just a hop and a skip to landing a spot on an NFL roster.

I seriously can't tell if you missed the puns or purposely didn't call them out for someone to find...

Holy crap... I thought he WAS a senior.

A year ago, who would've ever thought you'd say, "I'm glad we have Jumper back next year."

This is awesome!
