Yup, it looks pretty bad. True fans - students included - are there rain or shine, win or lose as often as possible.

Most people are gone for Thanksgiving.

i would venture to guess 90 percent of th student body would have no trouble making it in. vandy had a better section last weekend and they were already on break.

btw, this is more of a body of work assessment. this game just proves it.

It is sad when students do not want to pony up $90 for season tickets. Give me a break!

I was at that game last week and the student section there was probably barely halfway full and it isn't the size of our student section. People sprinkled in throughout the 1st quarter. 90% could make it in, but look at the weather...

To change year/term choose from the list: What's This?

Explanation of Fees

Charges:

Engineering Fee $200.00
Facility Fee $30.00
Maintenance $2714.00
Pgm & Svc Fees $250.00
Study Abroad Fe $5.00
Technology Fee $100.00
Transport. Fee $26.00

Total Charges: $3325.00

I can give you 3,325 reasons why I'm not there (and that's just for one semester). Not to mention the 10-20 bucks for parking and the awful weather outside. I'm not complaining about the tuition prices, but I just simply can't afford what it would cost to go to the game when I'm having to pay that much.

in 6 years, i have not once paid to park. more, the pregame case of bud light is more than a football ticket. if you want to see football, 15 bucks wont stop you. i promise your lack of attendance is not money related.

ARE YOU PEOPLE FREAKING SERIOUS?!?!?!
I'm a student at UT.
I'm a huge sports fan.
I live in Memphis... that's 6 hours away.
I get to see my family twice a semester.
I bought season tickets.
I'm not at the game.

Family > UT Football (sorry but that's life)

Get your heads out of your butts and realize that most people can not make it back especially those who don't drive to school. I've been at every single game this year and I was thinking about coming back for this one but I couldn't find a ride. People are not going to want to come back early. Especially on a Saturday.

I didn't speak for everyone. I did say that I can give you 3,325 reasons why I'm not there. I agree that money is not the issue for everyone; however, it is the issue with me (along with the awful weather). It just kind of seemed like everyone was trying to knock us for being pseudo-fans or what have you.

I guess my point was that not all of us hate the Vols and give up on them when the going gets tough. It only makes the decision not as hard when asking, "Should I get out in this awful weather and spend 35-50 dollars (gf ticket, lol)?" Don't get me wrong, I'll be watching every second of it on TV.

I am getting paid 2500 dollars to go to UTK next semester.

I'm very very glad I didn't pay 15 dollars to watch some football team whose season ended on September the first. I even had a ride to the game, and I'm about to watch it right now on TV.

Neyland has been boring as hell this year. It honestly is more entertaining to watch the game on TV. There's been no life in that stadium, nowhere near the last two or three years when we mattered, and that's really the only reason I would pay for it anyway. There's also no offense and a lot of frustration.

Sorry guys, fair-weathered fan here.

When you live 6 hours away it's not as easy buddy. Also, students did not pick up their tickets even if they did buy them. That means they went on sale to the public... where are all these die hard fans? Realize that students work with limited resources and they can not base their entire lives around football and that's coming from a HUGE Vols fan. Have a nice day.

Wow man you are really cool. Why don't you quit posting on here because nobody cares how much of a "diehard" fan you are. Go cry with Fulmer and his family and quit wasting our time.

I would much rather spend my break with my family and friends that go to other schools than go to a game three hours away.

...especially to see this absolute joke of a performance.

It's Thanksgiving break. As much as I love Tennessee Football, spending the Thanksgiving holiday with my family that I don't get to see that often is more important. You obviously didn't see the Florida or Bama game when we were out in full force. I wouldn't judge our student section on a weekend when more than half the student body isn't even in Knoxville.
