JUCO Signing Day Thread...

It is hard to find people who keep their word. Frankly as much as I would have liked to have him, trust on the team is a big part of our foundation and if you start looking immediately after you verbal then you know you are in trouble.

sidenote-- did anyone ever confirm or deny that Carr got a redshirt? Thought i saw him at the first of the season, but then didn't see him at all...

Not sure if any JUCOs are left on the board, but I do know the new 2.5 GPA rule was a concern for some coaches today in getting certain JUCO commits signed. Some were apparently expected to sign but were unable due to the new 2.5 rule (I expect this is what happened with Weatherd, too, but the coaches caught it sooner) so we could see a JUCO name or two pop up over the next few weeks because of it. No source, just know Crabtree from ESPN mentioned some problems there.

Based on Auburn's success all we need is a qb who can run a 4.4 40, run the read option, and make an occasional decent pass; coupled with a good running back and we're home free...oh and lucky plays (v Georgia and v Alabama).

Back to the topic at hand, I'm almost lost on Lambert's choice of Auburn. I mean as a Tennessee fan the recruiting under Jones is impressive and as long as the committed recruits sign we will be on the up and up. Not to mention Lambert could've started right away at UT, but then again watching the Auburn v Mizzou game, Auburn's defense didn't look so hot. Regardless, I have faith that we'll be tremendously better on both sides of the ball in the coming years with or without Lambert. Football is cyclical and we've endured the down time.
