I didn't blame it nor was I excusing him in any way, Princess Holier than thou. I was just noting things there in terms of leadership at the time were not as strong as you might want it to be, and that makes handling players with issues much harder.

I just hope Middleton doesn't become our next Haynesworth.

I never thought he was as great as his potential in Knoxville, but he represented well enough to be drafted in the first round. Not wasting my wish on NOT wanting that in a current player.

I wouldn't take it for granite that he will qualify academically. But hopefully his classroom progress will be fast paste.

For all intensive purposes jucos are always a crap shoot when it comes to academics. And I take them all with a grade of slaw.

Not to disparage Powell, but I am not so sure the coaching situation over there was all that great at the time.
Really, princess holier than thou? When you respond directly to my post about his behavior issues saying the coaching situation was not all that great, I'm not sure how else you intended the reader to interpret that. If you would have added the comment about handling players with issues much harder, I would have been with you. But without that important bit of detail, I interpreted you to mean the coaches were part of his problem.
