Mrs. Joseph,

I am sorry to break this to you, but your son is 3rd round material at best. Not in the same universe with Pearce.
Why are you trying to make it sound like 3rd round is some scrub round?

If he gets drafted rnd 3 than that means he probably had an All-Conference type season and tests well at the combine.

So at best he’s a millionaire is what you really said…

Day one is the 1st round.
It used to be round 1 and 2 irrc.

I think people are putting unrealistic expectations on a him. Through 3 years he hasn't even earned All- SEC , and suddenly he's a 1st round pick?

Byron Young and James Pearce had 2 All-SEC seasons each. Both tested ridiculously well at the combine. And only of those guys were picked in the 1st round.

He can have a great year get drafted in round 4, and still have a very productive NFL career.

That's because he was playing behind Pearce. Tons of players blow up their final season after getting to start and go in the first round. The reason he wasn't All-SEC earlier was lack of sack production. He was already elite against the run. Now he's getting sacks.

If he gets 10+ sacks this year he'll be 1st team All-SEC and be a 1st round pick. He's got the physical tools and has been great against the run. All that's been missing if finishing at the QB.

6 TD's in Middle School 1981. In a monsoon rain 34 degrees.

Never said the guy wouldn't make an NFL roster. Fully expect him to be getting paid next year.

It's the overblown 1st round pick crap I keep reading is what I call orange glasses on.
I don't see anything about 1st round in the OP. You were the first one to mention that in your weirdly unnecessary escalation response.

Who has said he's a 1st round pick? The only thing overblown seems to be your reading comprehension. The first post was simply alluding to the fact that Josephs has played well and likely has/will play himself into more NFL money than he would have gotten otherwise. You seem to have been far too interested in crafting your snarky response than focusing on the actual post.

I would be surprised at this point if he went 1st round. He would have to ball out in SEC play. But it does happen. ONL never won any post-season awards and he went 63 overall this past draft.

Exactly 3rd round is solid starter level in the NFL. I swear some people on this board love to just be a contrarian in any way possible and come on here and pretend like they have any clue on how to evaluate these guys. JJ started over Pearce at some points last year and the guy acts like he’s a scrub rofl

No one said crap about rounds until you brought it up.

I just posted a couple great plays and noted that he will make some $ in the draft.

The best move for you is to own that you typed out something stupid and you're hunched over with shame due to the near 100% rejection that you're receiving on the matter.

It's in there. Between the lines. You're not absorbing the emotion in the post.
We could try to read between the lines. Or we could just take the OP at his word that he wasn't implying anything about what round JJ would be drafted in? I think you've been absorbing more than emotions today :)
