Josh Heupel continues to surprise me.

I’m very happy with the win. Just saying we are talented enough to have won by much more if we had played up to our ability. Don’t understand your strong objections to it. Get over it.
No. As a fan, the never satisfied BS is not productive in any way. Like people are shocked Heupel said something nice about his team in the aftermath. It's mind blowing, especially considering where this program has been lately.

I agree with you but the thing that bothers me about this offense is no one that is winning National Championships runs it. I have also noticed that it is not nearly as effective in the second half of games . It is actually designed for the second half of games when we have worn our opponents down. Seems like it takes most good teams about a half to adjust to it and make the correct adjustments then we struggle. I am not a nega and enjoy watching them run it . I just don’t know if we can win a championship with it.

We are not going to out BAMA BAMA or out GA GA. At least not till we get way higher on the perception of the players pole, then we can alter our schemes and play calling. I BELIEVE that the whole tempo thing is to neutralize the advantages the top of the heap have with being able to run their 4 and 5 star, arrived MORE ready to contribute day 1 subs to spell their even higher rated 4 and 5 star first line. That is what give Saban heartburn. We have a better chance of our 1's vs his 1's since our guys are conditioned to go fast and stay on the field. Not allowing any teams tired guys to tap out is a good thing when they have a sideline stocked with MORE guys that arrive more ready to contribute, while we are having to develop more of ours. When speed is equal, bigger is better, but when bigger gets more tired our chances get better. So I am prepared to live with all elements of the scheme that the staff devises. The safety issues Saban and others preach is fear their bigger athletes are getting too tired and need a guaranteed blow. Also going to be fun when our quicks gets guys like Squirrel on a big tired safety.

It is our best shot to get in the conversation of championships.

I agree with you that it is our best chance right now. Maybe CJH will evolve some as a coach like Saban has and not be set in his ways and opposed to change. Bama 10 years ago was ground and pound 50 times a game. That’s is one thing I do respect about Saban. He will listen and adapt if you can show him a better way.

Get over it. Fan opinions have zero effect on the performance of this team. Ask your doctor for some Ativan to calm your nerves. You are overreacting.

That was a nice win this program really neede.

Pitt isn’t great, but winning breeds winning and that is something this program has failed at for far too long.

Funny but after CJH was named HC my wife was down on the hire because he came from UCF the minor league according to her. I remember advising her that we give him a chance to see how the Vols do especially considering the disaster that he followed. While it's still early in only year two he is obviously an improvement over Pruitt. Heck even my wife seemed excited with the results Saturday considering the mayhem that followed throughout the day in college football. For me the improvement needed to line up against the very best in the SEC will be to have top recruiting classes comparable to those of BAMA and UGA.

There is no more plain surrender in an argument than the "invocation" of a straw man. That's what "fan opinions have zero effect on performance of this team" is, as I never said anything of the sort. I think guys like you and Nationdom's opinion lamentations about how it coulda/shoulda been a blowout are just pathetic opinions wholly lacking in perspective, not that they effect the team any.

There are dozens of VN members posting the same thing. What’s your problem? We are happy with a road win against a top 20 team but know in hindsight we were far from perfect. It’s just the facts. Again why does that upset you. I think you are wound a little too tight. It’s not a healthy process for anyone to get upset over trivial matters. Take my advice , make an appointment with your doctor asap. He can help you.

Gaslighting. Projection. You're really checking all the narcissistic boxes here.

He probably was as surprised as anyone that they actually won. The second half was bad. The defense saved their azzes. Yeah but i get it. You don't do what Kelly did after the FSU debacle, throw your players and coaches under the bus.

Lol. You don’t have a clue about my personality. Nothing wrong with enjoying a win but stating it should have been a wider margin of victory. I bet you allow something to offend you almost every day of your life.

Ah, so you don't like it when someone presumes to know something about your personality? You can dish it out but you can't take it, lol.

The offense seems to break down if we get stuffed on first down. Our running game is not as good as we thought it would be and that is worrisome. Notice how Hooker just called his own number on the OT? He was tired of 3 yds and a cloud of crumb rubber fill. Where was that call earlier in the game? Agree that we have to limit his number of hits, but we have to let are best runner keep the ball in his hands.
I am not sure this game is an adequate representation of our OL. Pitt will be one of the better D Lines they will face all year. That was not our run game‘s best showing

This has been said about every new innovation in football offenses all the way back to when Knute Rockne and Greg Dorais innovated the forward pass. I don't see how running no-huddle is a gimmicky offense? Misdirection, separation, spreading out defensive secondaries, secondary options on the flats? Spurrier won a **** ton of games with a similar type of offense.

I can only hope and pray we have similar success with Josh 1.0’s O. It looks very Fun &Gun one moment, then Phil Fulmer in the second half (maybe that’s too harsh).

A unique position for us is that the flaws in our offense tend to be things that can be fixed, timing etc. things that will get flushed out over time with. experience and practice. What makes it unique for us, at least in recent history is that none of them are fatal flaws. We find ways to move the ball and score points, where in the past, our offense looks like a dude with no arms and no legs trying to swim to shore.

There is nothing in my posts that demonstrate Narcissim. There is plenty of posts to me by you that demonstrate you are wound too tightly.
