Or chance to take the backup from Jones before Jones is released. Too many people have counted him out already. From your link: " Dobbs and Jones are competing for one spot ."

Dobbs gets the start to tomorrow night.
Also, Bridgewater traded to Saints.

Jones isn't competing for anything. He has the #2 spot.

Josh Dobb's showcase to other NFL teams tomorrow night.
Steelers vs Panthers 7PM
Wishing him the best and hope he lands on a quality team (Cardinals?) if the Steelers keep Landry.

According to ESPN's Steelers beat writer, he's currently projecting the Steelers to keep 4 QBs on the active roster. So its possible Dobbs doesn't get traded or released.

Apparently you didn't read your own link very well.

Three is typically the Steelers' magic number, and, sure, Dobbs is the odd man out with Rudolph as the future and Jones the primary backup. But they've invested a lot of time in Dobbs, who's worth keeping around but might not be available on the practice squad if another team claims him. This way, the Steelers can try to gauge Dobbs' trade value through the weekend and roll with eight offensive linemen, at least for a little while

I seen somewhere that thought they may even place one of the QB’s (probably Dobbs if happens) on season ending IR with “some kind of injury”, to be able to keep them and still not use a roster spot.
I’m sure it’s happened before...

Looks like they have a succession plan when Brees hangs it up after this year?
That good be quite the trade for the Saints.

You guys think Bridgewater is a sure fire replacement? He is very talented there's no doubt about that fact, however I would not gamble on a contact. One big shot on that reconstructed leg and it's over this time.
Best of luck to him but I just don't see him having a long playing carrier

ooh thats a nice move by the saints..bye bye Tom Savage
Teddy will be a good mentor to Hill or Barret whichever one hangs around. I think Hill is the smart choice for qb/3 because of his contributions on special teams but if they want a darkhorse for the future having Barrett learn from Brees and Bridgewater would be smart also.

The Steelers screwed up not getting him any reps last week against some good competition, he won't see anybody tomorrow night thats not going to be cut on Saturday. Houston or Oakland would be good landing spots.
