Why should Dallas cut Owens? He produces for his team a lot more than Briscoe did for UT.

Or is it this....because of the fact that no one in their right mind wants a divisive presence in the locker room. Owens is a whiner and a manipulator. Guys look up to him because he's a longtime veteran and a productive player. So when he starts pontificating about "I'm not getting the ball enough, this teammate is a jerk, and here's what's wrong with the defense", guys listen. A few blow him off as being an idiot, but the guys who are on his side or undecided listen. And Owens has always been one of those guys who wants everyone to be on his side, so once he gets the undecideds listening to him, it's not a big jump to start telling them that Romo is an idiot, Witten is a jerk, Wade Phillips is a bum, and other guys are doing it for themselves and not for the team.

You know what? Briscoe was given the same respect by the younger guys. They looked up to him because he was a senior who had a decent season last year. So when he starts whining about the coaching staff and the playcalling and whatever else, it has the same effect as when Owens does it. The locker room divides into two diametrically opposed viewpoints as represented by two different people: Briscoe and Clawson.

So for you to want Owens to be cut while defending Briscoe is absurd. They're basically the same guy, only one actually produces.

TO pulled his antics all year long and on 3 different teams..

Briscoe making some comments after the season's over, is no comparision..

Except for, of course, his press conference "questions" and his stoic sideline demeanor against Bammer.

Maybe Briscoe should have taken his own advice from what he said after the Florida game.

“Everybody seems to know how to coach. Everybody seems to know how to fix situations. But the real fact is, if everybody had all the answers this world would be a completely different place. Everybody doesn’t have the answers."

I agree Josh....shut the hell up already!

wasn't the press conference after the season as well...
not exactly the locker room, or practice field during the season
