Jose Fernandez interesting comments after our game

I am JUST now seeing this, but thought it worth posting here since he indicates toward the end some of what he’ll “be pushing for” as he takes over the presidency of the WBCA.

You can fast-forward through the player portion if you’re pushed for time. It’s a fairly long presser, but his comments are worth your time.

Thanks for posting this. Their coach has some great comments about recruiting and about our roster and style of play. Seems like a nice guy who cares about his players.

He is a straight shooter. There was none of the usual coachspeak pablum.
Fernández is a solid recruiter, an above average basketball coach, and a caring mentor to the young ladies who play for him.

Thanks for sharing. I don’t know anything about this team, the coach or the players….BUT, you can tell the coach is an amazing man and his players are high character people.

His comments on the bench were what I was interested in. Starters played 33-37 minutes, and of course they'll struggle down the stretch with the LVs not playing a single player more that 21.

We were bad matchup for USF with their coach thinking that using their starters most of the game was their only chance, only to lose by 35. With how they were shooting, you could see how they were able to beat Duke. Good core of 5, but Tennessee has a good core of 10. Hard to handle.
