That was awesome. Well done, OP!

The dunk at the 2:20 mark vs Ole Mess was S-I-C-K.

Okay. I'm gonna make a very superficial comparison, so burn me if you want, as this is based only on what I've watched in this video.

This season, McRae has reminded me a lot of Chris Lofton, in the sense that he is a true scorer. But, at times, he just looks like he loses body control when driving to the lane, yet has this crazy ability to still put the ball through the hoop with uncanny finesse. I just remember C-Lo having some crazy looking drives in the paint where it looked like his body was going to be thrown to the ground, but somehow, he still got the shot up cleanly and it went in.

Shows a tremendous amount of focus on McRae's part to be able to realize, finally, what he's capable of and to employ that as much as he can each game. I give major props to that kid. He's got my vote for SEC POY.

It reminded me a lot of Lofton too. Watch how McRae kicks his leg out and leans away just like Lofton did.

Edit: just read your second post in the thread

Not sure about the Lofton comparison, but I see a college version of J.R. Smith.

Relies heavily on just pure athleticism to get to his spots or to the rim. Also when he gets hot he can score from anywhere on the court. JMO

I've always thought of him as a skinny JR Smith too.

Not sure anyone will ever equal Lofton in my mind, but I love this comparison for one reason:

Every time Jordan McRae rises up for a shot, I am confident that it will go in, regardless of distance and regardless of whether or not it is contested.

I haven't felt like that about any Tennessee basketball player since the great Lofton.

i hope he has the oppertunity to win it but i have a feeling it will go to henderson or a flordia player .there was several games that jordy dissappeared in that will hurt him but it would be nice to see a SEC poy AWARD in MCRAE,s HANDS.AS LONG AS PEOPLE DONT START WHISPERING YOU SHOULD GO PRO.any UT player that even thinks about going pro just think of Tobias Harris and SCOTTY Hopson and see what happened to them .one out of league and the other a pine rider.how would ut have been if harris would have stayed 4 years.they would have pg golden 2g jordy sf richardson pf t harris and center stokes would be a top 5 team

WTF? If you are talking about Marshall Henderson, no way in hell he will get it. He is not even the best player on his team. As for Florida, it can be debated whether they have somebody on their team worthy of first team all sec, they don't have anybody that could really even be talked about as POY

Agreed. It's between KCP and McRae. Johnny O'Bryant has been awesome all year but I don't see him getting POY.

I called him a poor man's J.R. Smith last year even. Their styles are just too similar. But McRae is learning to play defense, something I don't believe J.R. ever will really.
