Hoke did all of the non-coaching aspects of the head coach roll great, mending fences with boosters, former players ,high school coaches. recruiting--2 top 10 classes.

just as Butch Jones has done here, nobody can deny that.

All that Hoke did , did not translate to victories on the field!11-2, 8-5,7-6, 5-7 records.

I agree with this line of thought. If he just leaves the cupboard full for a better coach, that's well ahead of where we were at the last coaching hire.

Then the team got decimated with a bad GM, and his defense aged. His trade to Tampa is actually what caused the team to go down.

Jones will have a better winning percentage after his first 10 years of coaching than Bear Bryant did.

If we were to get rid of a coach who has improved his record every year, we would be seen as the stupidest school in the history of college football.
