He couldn't get away with the stuff he pulled at Clemson at Arkansas. Not questioning his pedigree (Bear Bryant), but I don't think he would have done much better than Fulmer in Knoxville.

Your basically talking about the same guy in different times. That is exactly what Fulmer did he came in and took a team that was mediocre and turned the program around. I know everyone on this site remembers the dumb ass run up the middle on every other play offense that Majors ran. In today's time Football is a lot more physical and a lot more talent on the field then when Majors coached. The speed of the players today and weight strengthing program is far better then when Majors coached, so for anyone to act like Mr Basic offense Majors could have done any better then your crazy. Fulmer is coming to an end of his career so everyone needs to quit hating on the guy. No one on this board could coach any better then he has or will so who really cares what you think about Fulmer. I am a Tennessee Fan not Just a coach Fulmer fan and just because we might have a couple bumby seasons does not mean I am going to mail in my tickets and tell hamilton I am not coming because I dont like FUlmer! That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard of. You are a pretend Fan/Bandwagon Fan. That means you only wanna watch when we are winning the games! Well Guess what the football is shaped the way it is because it can bounce any given way on any given day. And to hear all you guys talk about losing games before we even play them because of some fluke that happened last week is ridiculous as well.

Sorry for the rant just tired of reading all the negative stuff on our program. That is stuff you work out in the off season not during the season.

I disagree with that above. We came off 2 sec titles in the last 4 seasons majors was there including 2 major bowl wins. The Cotton and Sugar at the time were major bowls.

Going into the 10th straight season now we could go without a championship and no major bowl victory.

It is time to hire an outsider and noone off this current staff. We should not let emotions trump what is in the best interest of the program. Bold decisions need to be made sooner than later.

Yes there was. There just wasn't message boards for people to scream about it. No, not everyone hated the way Johnny was treated. Could have been done better but I don't think anyone hated it.

CJM won his prior to the SECCG. Comparing apples with apples; CPF had a 2001 season championship.

I know nothing about Majors and him drinking. But I do not that he had no loyalty from the likes of Fulmer, Chavis and Cutcliffe. I think that is what bothers Johnny Majors more than losing his job. Greed took over when the sharks were circliing, and Fulmer won! He even got credit with some wins when Majors was officially the head coach. I have never understood that logic.
