sad sad day. obviously wooden was a great coach but as a man, i could only pray to be 1/4 of the man he is/was. i saw this video on espn late last year and it was touching, to have the love of life and of nellie is a love i could only dream of having.

i know it's bad to speak ill of the dead or nearly dead, but i want to puke everytime i hear one of these glowing reviews about that cheater. anyone that allowed his players and recruits to be paid thousands of $$$ each to play for UCLA is not a "great man." it's no coincidence that wooden recruited like crap before gilbert got heavily involved in the program.

Droski nailed most of what I had to say, though refrained from doing so. Today, I don't feel so bad saying it. ESPN just reported that he is not dead and is resting comfortably in the hospital.
