Prepare to get ripped for that one. I personally like Mike Keith, but there a A LOT of people around here who really despise him.

I would rather hear Larry Munson screaming about stepping on our faces than to hear Mike Keith say anything. He has the most harsh and abbrasive voice of any announcer I've ever heard.

If it's Goosebumps that you're after, watch the video "Voice of the Vols." I teared up a little when I watched it.

I just clicked on the attachment & saved it as a mp3.
I know you can do that with most black berry phones. I'm not sure about other phones though.

Oh I understand that. Can't say as I'm really that fond of him either, but he does bring some enthusiasm to the game. These were just 2 examples on a long list I'm sure they had to choose from. Was great to hear JW again. Thanks.

I feel sorry for young Vols fans who missed hearing John Ward. Now all we have is 'Buckeye' Bob & his milquetoast style. Do you see folks wearing headsets at UT games? Do we turn down Brent Musburger & ESPN clowns to hear Kesling? 'Fraid not. Thank you, John.

The Voice is such an awesome video that I show it to my speech classes every year to show them how important descriptive words are to getting a message across. No one has ever done it like John plus he is a class individual as well. Bob needs to give up play by play and stick to interviews and TV coaches' shows.

We tried that, but thanks to the delay, you hear the action a lot before you watch it....which sucks. I personally would rather listen to Bob than Musburger.

I got down here too late for the JW era. Wife goes on about him and I have heard him in recasts and clips. Good broadcsters are hard to come by.
We had Kevin Harlin doing MU football,basketball and KC Chiefs broadcasts. I never heard a TV announcer, always listened to KH on the radio. Was a sad day when he went on to do pro basketball, then to nfl on television.

I saved it then sent it to my wife crackberry email saved it then sent it to my cheap ass phone and saved it as my ring tone a lot of work but sounds great! caught myself calling my phone just to hear John Ward. If any body has any more Joh Ward please post. I would love to have more Give Him Six!:peace:

For all of those who are less than 60, you really missed a great voice in George Mooney....In those days, rarely was college football on TV and even more rare was UT on the tube..So, our only way to "see" the games was through the voice of this great announcer.....He was so good that he made the game seem as if it were going on in that little radio case....Ward was, of course, an icon but Mooney was super good also....Wish we had someone like him today to replace a legend like Ward. I'm not glad I'm getting old but I am privileged and glad that I was able to grow up listening to such a superb, talented voice.
