I would have more respect for Payne if he had at least tried to check on Fulky when he was still down or tried to apologize as he left. I get tempers were up and they were being seperated but still.

Back in my playing days I accidently hit people before and I immediately checked on them and said sorry to make sure it was known I didn't mean it. And even if in the heat of the moment he did mostly mean it seems like after a few minutes and seeing that he actually hurt someone it would have kicked in some regret.

Would have been a terrible idea as tempers were about to explode. Payne needed to stay as far away from any UT players as possible. IMO

Immediately after sure, a few minutes later as they were reviewing....don't agree. You can let your intentions be known.

Still can’t agree as a few minutes later the medical folks were attempting to do their job and the last thing they needed was some moron getting in the way attempting to act remorseful. The UT Players were still irate and Payne needed to stay clear or risk an altercation

I don't necessarily mean go up to Fulky himself at that moment, but he could go to Barnes or someone before he's escorted out.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because as you can see waiting until later is seen by many as a "cover your ass" type thing and less sincere.

I thing the SEC league office should step in on situations like this, but if they don’t I am always fine with handling it the old fashioned way next season.

Looks like Fulky has a great shiner. Such a UT thing. We're on the verge of having a chance to play for an SEC title and a UF team that lost to us ends up beating us with a cheap shot. Might ruin our chances of a nice run in the NCAAT as well. Only at UT.

What’s the latest on Fulky? Is he gonna be able to play? I can’t imagine playing with a broken orbital bone or whatever facial fracture that he has.

Fulky should get him a lawyer and sue Payne, Fla coach, U of Florida. I say this bc who's to know how this will effect his career after school and later on in life, this was a thug move and nothing to do with BB.

Fulky says the guy apologized and hes moved on so Im good with that. I still think the SEC should do more but oh well.

Haha first thing I thought of was that era. It would have been more fitting to take boxing classes or hit the speed bag than work on your jumper if you played in the post then 😂

Rumors swirling on SECrant that Fulk is out for the first and second round of the ncaa tournament. Horrible if true. I know Payne apologized and all but he still needs to be suspended. If Fulk can’t play in the tourney, Payne does not deserve to.

It was the most egregious cheap shot I’ve seen in sports since the Myles Garrett helmet incident. Worse than anything Grayson Allen ever did. Payne needs to sit.

I don't know anything about those rumors but I would not be surprised if we hold off until after the selection to reveal the extent of his injuries.

Basilio saying Fulky will not play. I know TB has been wrong many times in the past & a lot of VN likes to make fun of TB but FWIW he says that JF is a no go .

I dont put any worth in TB's word, but I'd be amazed if John plays in the first weekend. Looked like he could barely stand the crowd noise yesterday
