From Baton Rouge's 'The Advocate'...

WBRZ News 2 Sports Director Michael Cauble has learned LSU basketball coach John Brady has been terminated.
Brady was apparently informed Thursday night by LSU Athletic Director Skip Bertman, according to multiple sources.
Brady will coach the Tigers' home game against Tennessee on Saturday. Assistant coach Butch Pierre is expected to take over on an interim basis, according to Cauble.

From January 18 in the Times Picayune...
LSU Athletic Director Skip Bertman gave Brady a "vote of confidence" Thursday, one day after an ugly 74-67 loss to Auburn, a game in which LSU took a 17-point lead in the first half. It was Tigers' sixth consecutive defeat.

"I have a vote of confidence for coach John Brady," Bertman said. "These things are normally looked at at the end of the season. But I feel for John with all the injuries he's had and the academic casualty. It's hard to compete in the SEC when you lose players."

further proof that the vote of confidence is in fact a death knell.

Well, UT better be ready. They will play the game of their life.

Brady is an A-hole!

What is his connection to LSU?

Do you think he would go there?

LA vs. Baton Rouge?

Can't see the lure in any sense of the word for Floyd.

1. Grew up in Hattiesburg, MS, coached UNO and the Hornets, still owns a house in New Orleans.
2. I'd be very surprised. His daughter is breaking into the acting business and he has publicly stated that he considers SC his last job.

We better come ready to play. LSU will give it 150% as this guys last game. Brady also won't hold back and tricks that he may or may not have in the bag.

Thats exactly what I'm thinking.

In my opinion, this game just became much more of a challenge.

Yeah, do the players really like that a hole? I'm not convinced they'll play above and beyond normal.

No it doesn't, become harder that is. Players going to give 110% now?
I tend to agree. They didn't play hard to save his job, but now that he's lost it they're going to empty their tanks? Also, LSU just isn't very good. It would take a letdown of epic proportions for Tennessee to lose this game.

I could see the game being relatively close in the first half, but after their emotion (if any) wears off, and our deep rotation kicks in... they are toast. I say we win by 20.

alot of speculation going around that Anthony Grant (VCU head coach) is LSU's top target

also, Tony Bennett (Wash. St. head coach) is in the mix as well.
