John Adams: Big things ahead for the Vols in 2012 » GoVolsXtra

The sheer size of the team is an appropriate starting point for formulating preseason projections as to how the Vols might finish. The Vols are bigger almost everywhere.

The offensive line, which will average 6-foot-5, 317 pounds, will be even bigger than the 2009 bunch, arguably the biggest in school history.

Size might be more noticeable on defense, where Dooley's front seven averaged 249 pounds in 2010. Two years later, it will average well over 271 pounds when junior college transfer Daniel McCullers (6-6, 362) lines up alongside Darrington Sentimore and Maurice Couch .

I think Adams believes it. But if UT has thank kind of season, Adams can write, "I told you so." If they don't, he gets to put out his negative articles for an entire offseason. Win-win for him.

I didn't make great grades in math, but this doesn't seem like the numbers exactly add up for some reason...

Had us going to SECCG with Da'Rick. Just missing it without him.

With Da'Rick: 10-2 with a SECCG loss and a bowl winn
Without: 9-3 and a bowl win.

It took me a second as well, but I think what he is saying is:

with Da'Rick we would have went 10-2, lost in the SEC champ game, and then won a bowl game to finish at 11-3.

W/o DR, we'll go 9-3 and win a bowl game to finish at 10-3

McCullers obviously skews it way high, but we probably have the heaviest average weight for a starting d line in the nation.

No, no. Adams is evil. Will set you up with sweet talk then kick you in the nads and laugh his azz off. Don't fall for it. Don't read anything that evil Barney Fife writes. I hope Trop Storm Isaac spawns a tornado that drops a house on him and makes his striped-stockinged feet curl up.

I hope that don't get pictures.....Not sure I could stand to see them..

That would almost be as bad as the pics of DR and the girl at the party..They ruined a perfectly good PB&J sandwich... I ended up throwing it away after reading/seeing them in the other thread...:cray:

John Adams is a Vol hater and a hack of a journalist. Adams doesn't know his elbow from his...no, wait.

John Adams is a genius! He knows what he is talking about and usually gets things right.

He put that so if we go 8-4 he can say we underachieved and the coaching staff needs to e fired. Typical John

Wasn't 2009 the year the Sullin's boys started? I think they weighed 260-270.
