I agree, how do you take a what Number 3 or 4 team in the country to overtime and be ranked 15, still too many voters going by w and l without considering who you lost to and by how much.TN is not a #15 team. If they stay focused, improve like they should (even by reps alone) and take care of their own business - they're a playoff team. One I wouldn't relish facing if they make it. But #15? That isn't what I watched on Saturday.
Yes! I mean, watch the dang game. GA was in a slug fest...and losing. On both sides, players were making plays - critical plays. And it was TN who had the chance to put it away on more than one occasion. Credit GA, they were handed a gift, and they went and took it. However, TN had their chances too and didn't. Simple difference. Play for the playoffs.... if you're not in it, you have no chance to win it.I agree, how do you take a what Number 3 or 4 team in the country to overtime and be ranked 15, still too many voters going by w and l without considering who you lost to and by how much.
Nah. You might be surprised at how much incremental improvements can affect the defense as a whole. Hobbs and Moi will really help the DL. Hood and Redmond can grow and improve as the year goes on. Spillman and the young LBs can get better, improving that group. They’ll learn from this. They probably won’t become an elite defense, but they can become a good one. With this offense, that’s all they have to be.A miracle has to happen on defense before this team makes the SECCG. An I hope Joey A performs in his first road game in the SEC like UGAs QB did.
