I've seen this a couple of times, but from what I've read below, it was on his throwing hand:

I believe the misconception comes from the fact that the Instagram video (and the screen shots from that) are mirrored in a way that makes it appear that his left hand is the one that is in the cast.

At least he can hit the swing pass to the running back. JG could never figure that out.

I hated every swing pass they called with JG.....for some reason, he would throw it backwards at their back/back of the head while they were running their route. It was a guaranteed loss of 4 everytime. I think there were more fumbles than completions with him throwing swing passes
