I hope the NCAA already has decided our punishment, hiring a guy with prior/future sanctions hanging over his watch cannot be good.

If true, ironic that the seemingly two main candidates for the UT AD position are from schools placed on probation in the last two weeks. That said; I know nothing about the man. He could be an excellent hire. I've never been one to lay the actions of one renegade coach at the feet of an AD, as long as due diligence has taken place. Simply ironic.

If you're familiar with the Duke lacrosse case, you'll know this guy is a dirtbag and a very bad hire for UT.

I know they got NCAA props for being cooperative in their last investigation, but aren't they under scrutiny again for Will Lyles?

And does he have any solid hiring/firing track record?

Had home-run hires with Carl Franks and Ted Roof. I guess the Lacrosse ordeal doesn't shine too brightly either.

There has to be a Benedict Arnold somewhere well-placed who wants UT to fail. Is it not possible for us to make a good hire?

It is hard to have a homerun fire for Duke football, but Cutcliffe has worked out alright for him.
