For those of you who may not know how to make cornbread, I'm gonna teach you!
take a cast iron skillet as shown above and heat it up--hot with oil in it--bout 1/8 to 1/4 inch...
while it's heating you mix self-rising cornmeal with two eggs and about half cup of milk--or buttermilk and when its mixed pour most--not all of the hot oil in and stir loosely into batter.
dump the batter into the hot skillet--it still has oil in the bottom.
now you place it in a hot over 425 degrees and cook approx 15 minutes. You will smell it cooking and then when brown, take it out and there you have it!
