yep Mr. Sexton is a big player but is he Mr. Sankey's agent...don't think so...Sexton's power goes only so far...would love to be a fly on the wall in the meeting concerning us hiring Coach Freeze...sure it would be pretty good...:D

Sankey 5 minutes later: "Greg and Nick, he's all yours. Yes, same wiring instructions."

There's a lot of hate for Sexton here and I think the majority of it comes from the fact that our incompetent Atheletic department has been walked all over by him for years. You cant blame the man being better at his job than our atheltic department has been at their jobs. This frustration should go straight back to the university.

Jimmy Sexton is a great businessman and comes from a great family in Memphis. I've known his father for many years. Jimmy IS the standard in agents (actually developed the modern day schematic for agents) and we all would like to know we've been as good at our chosen professions as Jimmy has been. I know several of the agents that work under Jimmy and without fail they are fine, upstanding, hard working guys. I think its easy to throw our frustrations at Jimmy when actually its not his fault at all. By the way, he's still a VFL...just does a great job of covering it up....

Sextons job is to represent his clients. The sad truth is if it was a race, Sexton is a thoroughbred and UT admin have been jackasses. Paying huge buyouts to crap like Dooley and Jones is total incompetence. Those contracts should have been performance loaded.
