West coast is built on short quick routes. Slants, screens, lots of hitches, and seam routes.

Can we run a lotta jet sweeps and bubble screens out of it? Like, a whole lot of them....

When you've got Tyler Byrd you need to do that. And I love both of those especially jet. It influences defenses which sets up great read and counter plays off of jet

Seam routes?

Wait, aren't those are the pass routes that Peyton used to throw often to Joey Kent and Marcus Nash. I even remember Casey Clausen throwing one or two to Jason Witten. Those were really successful.

You have to influence force defenders and when you do that you will win the battles inside unless your just bigger with better technique.... (Pad level, shooting hands, quick feet, great burst through your hips).
Looking back at when auburn beat Alabama that is exactly how they did it... They ran so many inverted veers outside and out leveraged the force and spill players which made them second guess staying inside and then bam a midline or a QB dive or HB slam.... Great execution...

Canales was not an awful hire. I guess when you have some other big name options out there floating around it looks like it in comparison. I like all the hires and changes that have been made to the staff. These two together can make the offense better than it was IMO.

I don't visit the recruiting forum much but is it true we are actually recruiting a true full back? If so I like the idea of it

I don't known I haven't heard about that but I would say they would be looking at a true H back more of a hybrid FB/TE... Think Alex Ellis but more skilled.... I would like that very much!!! It would give them a more true pure power scheme...

With no disrespect to AirDobbs, if one of our QBs can be groomed to add a deep threat element to our passing game (and no, not just Hail Mary's!), than we can perhaps be able to use an entire offensive Playbook, which IMO, we really have not had the pleasure of using in well, just too darn long.

Thought provoking statement....Dobbs did not have this element in his game. Not the 20 - 30 yard with the deep ball.
