His offense has been on fire everywhere he's gone and I like that style of play. It's a lot of fun to watch. If you surround him with a good support staff I think he could be excellent.

Tim Irwin loves Chaney. He has an unfortunate obesity issue but the man is a great coach.

I never really had an issue with his play-calling but he was surrounded with NFL Talent at quarterback receivers and tight end

He has been an OC for over 2 decades, going on three. If he had aspirations to be one he would have had ample opportunity. Won't lie would love to see him back here as an OC though.

Weird, I was just logging on to talk about Chaney and I saw this thread. I think this is definitely something PF should look into. Kiffy is number one for me, but, hey, this might work. You get someone who kills it offensively everywhere he goes, PLUS, you put a big hurting on Smart! Why not? That's smart.

Chaney and Cut are the two best OC's we've had, imo.

Chaney doesn't appear to be the type of personality that would thrive as a HC to me.

Also, interesting that while he was here he took a beating from some fans because UT didn't run the ball very well. However, if I'm not mistaken he's had run-heavy, successful offenses at both Arkansas a few years ago, and currently at UGA.

Saunders, Harris, and Fulmer say hi.
