He is very slow, he might be good for 2-3 yard gains, but he doesn't have any breakaway speed to pick up first down with his legs. He isn't a duel threat for sure.

To this point, he's not shown that he has the skills to be an effective runner. I don't understand this because is High School he did run but, somehow he seemingly lost that ability. Watching him play, I get the feeling when given the option, he's choosing not run. Maybe he figures running for his life on half the offensive snaps is enough.

Asking JG to run with the football is asking for trouble, for one JG is not a running QB, secondly asking JG to run risks injury to the person we are least likely to succeed without.

I'm afraid JG does his best to just avoid tacklers not blocked by his leaky Oline.

His acceleration is poor and he isn't very agile at all, but his straight line speed is serviceable enough to do something with. Maybe we'll see it vs UF.

Not just no.... Hell no. He's exposed enough as it is.

Maybe the very occasional bootleg or keep once a game, but read option needs to be buried.

Well, if the kid can't run at all as some of you seem to imply, it's part of the game then that's advantage defense.
One thing I would love to see is a bit quicker decision making and ball release. He's better this season but it's something he needs to continue to improve on.

Notice all of the top rated teams especially in the SEC have mobile QB's. Hard to win in College and especially the SEC without a Mobile QB....

No. He’s a prostyle pocket passer. He’s not a dual threat qb, period. The only time he needs to be running the ball is when the pocket collapses or when a play breaks down just to get whatever he can get. He’s a very good, strong armed, accurate thrower....he’s not a running qb.
