JG needs more attempts per game.

Chaney, rightfully so, is afraid to use him. He, like us, is never sure which JG is going to show up on any given Saturday.

I'm still not sure why Pruitt doesn't start Bailey. Outside of Auburn, almost every other coach is the SEC that is struggling this year has not hesitated switching QBs or putting in their freshman QBs. Good players, as Bailey's rating suggests, do not get intimidated by the level of competition they face.

Don’t crucify me but I’m actually on board with this. When he has time, we can actually make some nice throws especially in the deep game. We have some WR talent and id like to see them shine a bit more. Especially Palmer, I really think he’s a viable deep threat.

Overall, I think it’s less about JG’s arm talent and more about putting him in position to make good throws (ie pass protection and play calls)

Again, don’t crucify me lol. Just going off what I’ve seen from JG the past 17 years. I don’t think he’s the man, but when he has time and a decent play call he can deliver some strikes.

If like to see us run for 200+ yards so we pull their safeties to the LOS and JG has more open targets on the 10-15 passes he throws before we sub in Maurer and Bailey after we’re up by 3 TDs

I agree. If he turns the ball over more, then it forces a change (or should). If he has one of his good games, then it gives us a chance to win. Giving him more attempts could be a win-win.

I disagree, the only reason in my opinion he looked better yesterday was because the run game was working to a degree, when were not one dimensional and he has time he is a serviceable quarterback, he did make a couple good decisions on pulling it down and getting a first down with his legs so i give him credit for that. They looked better in this game than they have in the last couple weeks so maybe there is hope.

Is he the quarterback of our future. NO. Our present is currently nothing. No SEC, No East, not even 2nd place. What is going to be the excuse next year at the current rate? Well, all our QBs have virtually no experience. Great. Sounds like a wonderful year. Again. Give JG the clipboard, it's his only way to stay in football, maybe at the high school level. Put the young guys in and let them play. Don't pull them because of a single mistake, let them develop a rhythm and settle in. Give them some confidence.

all these threads about QBs when our pass rush got exactly TWO (unsuccessful) pass hurries to Mac Jones yesterday.

His down side is much more down than his upside is up. If yesterday’s performance was the rule and he didn’t perform much worse I could live with him being the QB. Again that is live with and not really like, but this season is over for the most part and we have to start looking towards next year and JG as QB next year is not acceptable and I would move to the fire the entire coaching staff boat.

I still believe Pruitt should get more time at this point, but that would end if things remain unchanged.

Yeah I think I timed JG at like 3.25 secs when he threw the TD to Hyatt. What QB couldn’t make that throw when he has more than the average time to throw?

I would like to see him throw it 60 times; I would like to see the offensive line protect him much much much much better. I would like to see JG learn to step up into the pocket and throw the ball. I would like to see JC run the ball much more. I would like to see JG pi**ed off at those not playing their best, mad, and determined to win.
