Not trying to derail, but what was Tee's record for completions in a row? This stat made me think of this.

JG is finally getting to be developed. His improvement over last year is off the charts. He's not a duel threat, but the kid can put the ball on a dime a good bit of the time. I know a lot of ya'll want to see KC, but JG has to be the toughest guy in college ball. He takes the hits, and beats the defender back to his feet. With a better O line, he will be great. Let the staff develop him and he will do good things on Rocky Top.

... and we have a rather strong contingent here on VN who have and do want him benched every week no matter what.

Yeah and question the coaching staff. I was just trying to stir that pot with this post. I think we need to trust the coaches to do what they do. I've trusted that all season long. Theres a reason KC isn't starting. Because JG is better.

What about it? It was a great accomplishment between him and his receivers for that one game. The rest of the season Tee completed 53% of his passes. JGโ€™s record of 144 throws through 6 games with no interceptions is more impressive imo...especially considering the beating heโ€™s taken behind the worst OL in the country.

Generally when you take a beating like that you start hurrying your throws and reads to prevent a big hit. JG has room to grow, nobody is doubting that but not throwing a pick during all that is impressive.

Donโ€™t know what his number is after this game but he also has the best completion percentage of all vol qbs. Even PM. And yet people call for him to be benched lol. Give the kid a little time to make a throw and heโ€™s good all day. And takes care of the ball interception wise.

Read more and see what I posted after this. Definitely not knocking JG!

The kid is fearless and is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites

Yeah... On the offsides play when the announcers said that Wilson looked like he thought about going downfield cause he knew he had a free play but felt the pressure and changed his mind.

I told my buddy that JG wouldโ€™ve slung it downfield and delt with the hit.

Heโ€™s done a really, really good job this year. Still no protection and heโ€™s almost always right on target. We have a good one, guys.
