Check out the big hit on Ray Rice (formerly of Rutgers). I think this is a great fit for Jerod ... playing linebacker for the best team in the NFL (sorry Giants, you got lucky). And being taught by Bill Bellichick, who knows a few things about Pro Bowl linebackers.

I agree I think this will be a great fit for Mayo. The Giants got lucky by smashing the Pat's in the mouth and absolutely manhandling them? Interesting

for saying Mayo was the best LB I had seen at UT. I said it after the Kentucky game. Eveyone said I must be a newb or was out of my mind. They brought up Wilson, Thompson, Rotella, Hacksaw, Jackie Walker, Puki, Dale Jones, Kiner, DeLong, etc. I saw all those guys play and still made the statement.

Then Mayo (as a jr) was taken higher than any LB in Tennessee history. Now he is looking good (though it is still preseason).

I hope now you guys will accept that Mayo deserves to be mentioned with the great Tennessee linebackers.

Wilson won two SEC Titles and one national title and was the pillar of the D. Mayo, while a very good player was not a better college player and still has a ton to prove at the pro level to be better than Wilson.

Why did he have to go to the pats of all teams, I can never pull for him as long as he is there.

Anyway, the best team in the NFL turned out to be the NY Giants. Mayo is currently playing for the second best team in the NFL.

If you like Steve's avatar then you should definitely visit Gainesville or Tallahassee. They have they highest concentration of beautiful women I've ever seen and there are no guys! You have hot girls like that getting drunk and throwing themselves at you on a regular basis!
I'm married now and can no longer partake but when I have sons, I am going to encourage them to go to school at UF but root for UT.

While you're at it, why don't you get them to go to Georgia, where they have the largest breasts of any concentration of women in the SEC.

Staying on topic - Mayo is great!

But yeah, your sons can go to UT and still bag some women while at road games. Look at Travis Henry!

Mayo's already being penciled in as a starter, which is incredibly rare for a Belichick LB. He's picked up on the defense faster than any rookie in our system before him. He is going to be a FORCE. I've watched some practice footage and can just say...damn. He is all over the place. So fast. I talked to Tommy a few days ago and he said it's the first time he's had to account for a rookie on the field during team drills. Vic Hobson also said he's making athletic plays that they'd expect from a DB.

With Mayo, Crable, Woods, Meriweather, Sanders, Warren, Wilfork, Seymour, Green, Hobbs...our defense is set for a LONG time.

Color me stoked for this season. I can't wait to see Mayo wreak hell on the NFL.

Im stoked also my friend..The Pats will unleash the wrath on folks this year. It is going to be nice to see Mayo be apart of it...Thanks for the update.
