Practicing at this point is great news !!!
As much as I want him to be ready for Georgia, I also don't want him to push it too hard and have a set back.

McCoy was with the other cornerbacks during the short portion of practice open to the media. He went through coverage drills, but was not permitted to go through the drills with other players, and coaches were not allowed to throw balls while he was in coverage. Later, he went on to go through a drill where he would ‘Peanut Punch’ the ball out of a coach’s arm to force a fumble.

Wearing a helmet but no shoulder pads.

It's amazing how far medical science has progressed. 20 to 25 years ago he would have been lost for the season. It's crazy how fast ACL tears can be rehabbed now

Exactly. My daughter was a college athlete who had 3 ACL repairs almost 20 yrs ago. Much was learned from her 1st to her 3rd, and SO MUCH more is now known in more recent yrs.

Less invasive now when possible with tiny holes instead of long scars and more soft tissue damage, improved techniques and changes in PT to get moving and bending faster.

I’m no D1 athlete, I was walking without crutches and back to work (anesthesia) so not a great deal of walking, 2 weeks after my acl recon at 39yo. It really is amazing how far the surgery has come.
