Jeremy Pruitt Offensive Style..?

I remember Antone Davis and Charles McCrae bulldozing defensive linemen and then running loose in the second and third levels of the defense looking for LBs and little DBs to pancake. We need to get back to the days of mean, aggressive offensive linemen.

Helton has mentioned to recruits that our offense will do a lot of things like USC. Whatever we try, we literally cannot get any worse.

The incredibly Stupid mistake last year was Jones promoting a guy who had no experience as an offensive coordinator.....and then hoping he could win at chess against Smart, Pruitt and the rest of the SEC defensive coordinators...still smh

Agreed. I think we will be physical with the teams we can be physical with, and I have no idea what we do against the Bama's, UGA's, and Auburns.

Put in a real strength and conditioning program that actually works, and hopefully reap the dividends of it in 2019.

Pruitt was there in '07 and '08 when Saban started at Bama. He knows what needs to be done. It's going to take two years, but it can be done.

That run-it-down-their-throats offensive style only works in the SEC if you’ve got road graters on the Oline, which we do not. If you try to force this style of offense when you don’t have the personnel to do it, you end up with a lot of 3 and outs. This may take a while

We have no idea what our present line’s top line capabilities are...much less the roster’s after Signing Day. We ran a matador style blocking scheme. Guys like Chance Hall and Jack Jones would stand out in debuts because they actually shoved their opponents the other direction...before conforming. Not saying we have a potential NFL quality line outside of Trey, but I would put our grade as Incomplete.
